Saturday action

Today marks the start of a glorious 2 months. That's right it is the kickoff of conference basketball season. Some things that stand out in these 2 months.
1. Home court advantage. These are kids, and they can be rattled by the effects of jeering and cheering from the home court fans. Therefore, if you see a home team getting points take a good look at that line. It may provide some value.
2. There are no nights off. The thing that bothers me about the NBA doesn't come into play with NCAA hoops. You don't have to worry about star players mailing it in b/c they hit the Kristal too hard the night before. Also, lets face it...how excited can you get for game number 49 of 82? With college, every game counts so you can count on getting a team's best effort.
3. Intelligence counts. Many teams can beat down lesser opponents throughout the first 2 months of the season with a run and gun style. This makes them look appealing. But find these teams and when they're paired againts a fundamentally sound and intelligent team, go with the intelligent team who may even be getting points in this situation because they haven't had the flashy blowout wins.
4. Find some teams and some conferences that aren't in the public. Vegas can't watch all the teams at once. Many of their lines are set totally on statistics. Think Vegas knows about William and Mary basketball? Nope, well this site does. Go with them, they're smart and well coached.

This is a time to make the cash register ching. We are going to try and help out...

Here is some stuff i like early today, and more importantly why.

1. OSU as a pick against ILL. Yes, this is at home for the Illini and Bruce Weber's orange sportcoat will be rocking. But this is a loaded OSU team that is playing with confidence and more talent than a young Illini team. I think the home court keeps this close, but OSU squeeks out a win.

2. Duke and Va Tech. Homecourt speaks for itself in this game. But I'd stay away from the spread in this game. There are two Hokie teams. One is veteran heavy, won't get rattled and could keep this close. The other can't shoot straight, gets discouraged, and could lose by 40. there is no value in the 9pt number either way. Only thing i may do is tease the 126 o/u and take the over. I think we'll see over 121 scored here.

3. I mention William and Mary earlier. They're giving four at home against a team with 3 wins. Take the Tribe, but don't take any of their girls (see I told you this site would provide good advice).

4. Air Force. Air Force. Air Force. This is an intelligent team. It has scorers. It shoots the 3, and it is at home. I'm teasing this with WMU and the Duke over. A nice little sweetheart Tease.

That's all I've got for now. I feell good abou these, if you have anything you like please advise...

Oh yeah, I don't touch the NFL but for the fun of it. I like the Colt -7, the over in the Dallas/Seattle game of 47...that will be a shoot out b/c neither team has a corner who can cover.
